“The Soul Corner of Rosedale and Riverview. The Ice Cubely Air Conditioned, Tahiti Hut!” was what the ads used to say on WDAO. But when I took my girl in there for my first club date, her mascara mole melted and ran down her cheek. This was a tiny little club, only suitable for a DJ and 2 or 3 people dancing. It still survives though, on the corner of Rosedale and Riverview, now called the VFW hall.
