Mallory Pool/Park
City Swimming Pool, located in south west Dayton, through the 1960’s. Many a hot and lazy summer day was spent splashing in this municipal pool. Located on Germantown Pike, it was the only full fledged pool, with a diving board, in the hood. (I believe.) There was also a pool at Bomberger Park, but it was (kind of) for the East side of Dayton (if you get my drift). Westwood park/school also had a small wading pool, but there was nothing the size of Mallory’s unless I am mistaken.
