Hara Arena
By the Mid-Seventies, Dayton was in full blossom. The Vietnam War was over, and many of us were hitting the books, some in faraway campuses, and some at Central State, Wright State and Sinclair. The party was on, and none of the old clubs could hold all of us anymore, so the big concerts (Parliament, Earth Wind & Fire, Isaac Hayes, Mandrill, Rick James) had to move their shows into this concert venue. During the week it was the home of the Dayton Gems Hockey team, so when we came to party on Saturday night, they would cover up the ice with plywood, but your feet would still freeze.
